Stoner history

"While the band was definitely influenced by the sludgy noise assault of Black Sabbath, they opted to leave it at nothing but an influence. Only taking elements of Sabbath's sound and cranking up the volume while bringing down the tempo. Their songs were also more chaotic than they were developed. Usually ending before the two-minute mark and consisting of nothing but a straightforward jumble of powerful, unconnected riffs and drumming. Lead vocalist Buzz "King Buzzo" Osborne wailed over the noise with a surprisingly high-pitched voice. His trademark growl wouldn't become developed until later in the band's career. Listen to this as an a slow moving entirety rather than just great individual songs."
