Robot Woman 1 2 3 + Xtras An evolutionary tale Cartoon + Unheard tunes + Mystery Many photos + Aidememoire Original manuscripts Hilarious stories tall and true Released in 64 page hardback book Stated by retailers to be a limited edition of 1500 copies, but nothing like that appears on the release itself. There are many track titles differences in several parts of the books. CD4 is titled "Robot Woman Xtras" on disc face, "Unknown And Hidden Extras" in book for the track-by-track details, and "Demos & Rarities" in book in the page with tracklistings. CD 1 previously issued as [r=7264822 CD 2 previously issued as [r=1002833 CD 3 previously issued as [r=1011882 4-1 : Listed as 'Evidance', opening number at Glastonbury '81, which is a mistake; the track is actually 'Trepidance', taken from the cassette-only album by [m700722. 4-2 : the backing track was recorded in a green pyramid tent in a field in Mid Wales during a festival in 1976. This was used for the demo of 'Disco at the end of the world', and later became the backing for 'The Moving Walkway' on [r=1002833. 4-4 : audience recording of a minimalist show in Kansas City Missouri in 1981, with backing track recorded at Foel Studio. 4-5 : comes from The Pied Piper recorded in 1978. Extracted from 55152. 4-7 : demo version as used on the US tour. 4-8 : recorded as a B-side to 159555. 4-9 : first version of Custom Man. The second part is a sound collage by Harry using Dave Sawyer's paper drum and other odd percussion. 4-10 : another fun late nigth rework of the final track from the first volume. 4-11 : 'War is over': Tasmin Smyth came to stay for a while and was inspired to write some tunes on the topic. These were not included in the eventual release — 'Armageddon': Tom The Poet improvises a chilling scenario — 'Wassillissa Flute': little flute piece from 55152. 4-12 : there were no tiger recording available in Devon. This is a recording of a geese being aggro, and slowed down several octaves. 4-13 : track developped during the Robot Woman period, but never used. Tasmin sings [Note : a different version sung by Harry Williamson and Gilli Smyth was released on [r=2142868 4-14 : a rare dub mix of the demo recorded at Foel Studio in 1979 and later used on the US tour. 4-15 : a peek into what was involved rehearsing with the youngster + a little out-take and some paper drum soloed leading to a 55152 excerpt. 4-16 : this is the solo that started with Foel studio snowed-in and ended with blooming daffodils, birdsong and sunshine and melting icicles. 4-17 : previously unreleased glissando and violin improvisation recorded in St Kilda. 4-18 : final part of Gilli's lifetime meditation 'Magenta' [can be found on [r=489741, blended with 'Life After Life' taken from the 'Street Art' cassette.
